2023 Waste/Recycling Calendar

Large Item Pickup

Large item collection will take place during the fourth week of each month on your regularly scheduled pick up day. Residents are not required to call in to schedule a large item pick up.

 

If a large item such as a refrigerator that requires two people, Badgerland Disposal has requested a call ahead.  No call is required but it may result in a one-two day delay in pick-up based on employee availability.

 

Waste Oil and Car Batteries: City of Edgerton residents can bring waste oil and used car batteries to the City garage on the following dates:

March 29th

June 28th

September 27th

December 28th

 

Pick up is between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm. There is a limit of 15 gallons of waste oil and 3 batteries per year per household. Burns Full Service and City Trans also take waste oil.

 

E-waste: There will be two electronic collections per year. Please bring e-waste with proof of residency to the City Garage 315 W High St.

Rock Co/Dane Co Clean Sweep: County residents can  sign-up to utilize the Clean Sweep drop-offs throughout the year for hazardous chemicals.

Plastic Recycling

The DNR is working to increase capture of used plastic containers, film, and bags that are currently being landfilled rather than put to productive uses. 
You can help!

 

Visit this website: www.plasticfilmrecycling.org to find drop off locations for your plastic grocery bags, dry cleaning bags, bathroom tissue wrap, plastic packaging, and case wrap.
