The City of Edgerton, WI, seeks a motivated individual to fill the position of Administrative Assistant. This full-time, hourly position provides opportunities to apply and develop skills in accounting, billing, record keeping, and customer service. As a member of the City’s Administrative team, the position provides opportunities for growth in a variety of areas including municipal services, accounting, and social media.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Certification or proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required. Applicants must have training, experience, or the ability to become proficient in accounting, payroll, social media, and purchasing.
Applicants must be able to interact effectively and courteously with the public and be able to exercise independent judgment without close supervision. Applicants must be able to operate office equipment including computers and supporting software applications. Applicant must be able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
The general work schedule is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. The wage range is $18.74- $22.49/hour. The position provides excellent benefits including: WRS retirement; health, dental and life insurance; sick and vacation benefits.
